Criw Cymraeg
At Ysgol y Foel, we are committed to developing the Welsh language and culture. This year we have set up a Criw Cymraeg, who are made up of our School Council. They are to work together to help the pupils develop their Welsh language skills and promote the Welsh culture within our school.
Criw Cymraeg meet weekly to look through the targets of which we have to meet to achieve our bronze award, as well as choosing a Welsh phrase of the week and Welsh speaker of the week (Y Siaradwr Cymraeg). These certificates are handed out by Criw Cymraeg on a Friday during assembly. Our phrase of the week is up and around school to encourage the children to use it throughout each day.
